Driver Installation：
For Windows 2000/ XP/ Server 2003
1. Don’t plug in the USB 4-Port Serial Adapter to the USB connector of your computer.
2. Please insert the CD driver bound with USB 4-Port Serial Adapter into your CD-ROM Drive.
3. At the Windows desktop Start, then Run.
4. Type D:\MCS7840\Win32\MSSetup.exe, then OK.
(Change D: to match your CD-ROM drive letter)
5. Press “Install” button to install the drivers.
6. During the installation process, a warning message will popup informing the user that the software used has not passed the Windows Logo testing, “ContinueAnyway”.
7. “Exit”button to complete the driver installation.
8. Plug USB 4-Port Serial Adapter into yourcomputer’s USB port.
9. Windows will bring up the “Found New Hardware Wizard”window, select “Install the software sutomatically”and on “” to proceed.
10. A warning message will popup informing the user that the software used has not passed the Windows Logo testing, “Continue Anyway”.
11. “Finish”to complete found new hardward wizard.
12. Repeat steps 9-11 four more times.
13. Open “Device Manager”under System Properties.
14. on the + (plus sign) in front of the “Ports (COM&)”, two “High-Speed USB Serial Port…” should be displayed.
15. Double “Universal Serial Bus Controllers”, “High-Speed USB MultiSerial Compound Device” should be displayed.

For Windows Vista
1. Don't plug in the USB 4-Port Serial Adapter to the USB connector of your computer.

11. on the +(plus singn) in front of the “Ports (COM&)”, four “MosChip High-Speed USB Serial Port…” should be displayed.
12. Double “Universal Serial Bus controller”, “MosChip High-Speed USB MultiSerial Compound Device” should be displayed.

Changing COM Port Number
Some serial devices need a special COM port in order to work. If your serial device works properly, do not change this setting.
1. From the Device Manager window double Ports( COM & ), then double the High-Speed USB Serial Port or MosChip High-Speed USB Serial Port you want to change.
2. Features tab.
3. the down arrow that is to the COM Port Number box, select a COM port that is no in use, then OK to save the changes.
